Academic Procedure Questions: Adding/Dropping a Course
A course may be added or dropped during the periods indicated in the University Calendar without penalty. In a typical semester, courses can be added until about one week after the start of the semester, and can be dropped within a two-week period after the start. Any course dropped during this time, will not appear on the student's permanent record. The advisor’s signature is required on all drop/add forms. The approval of the student's Dean is required if this course change is made after the normal change period and will only be granted in extreme cases.
