Academic Procedure Questions: Withdrawing From a Course
If a student wishes to withdraw from a class after the drop
deadline, they must use the withdrawal procedure. The withdrawal period
typically extends until after mid-semester grades are reported. A student may
withdraw from a course and receive the grade of W with the signature of the
lecture instructor and the approval of the student's advisor. The W grade will
remain on the student’s transcript, but will not be calculated into the GPA. The
approval of the student's Dean/Director is also required if:
A. The revised load is less than twelve semester hours, or
B. After the withdrawal deadline has passed.
